Both Phase I and Phase II (VCS Project ID VCS2864, VCS2866), of this project began in 2020 and are successfully collecting manure from local chicken farms and biomass waste residue, e.g. straw, plant ash and rice husk, from local farmers in Xuancheng City, Anhui Province for conversion to organic fertilizer.
The projects adopted a new fermentation process, implementing new fertilizer production systems to generate organic fertilizer that avoids methane emissions through limiting of the aerobic conditions during the composting of the manure and biomass residue. Both projects are invested and owned by Xuancheng Nanyang Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
